COMING UP: ANIMAL CRUELTY PANEL DISCUSSION, MAY 10th
What laws do we have that protect animals? Are they effective? You’re invited to hear a panel of experts discuss “The Role of Law Enforcement, the Courts, and the Public in the Investigation and Prosecution of Animal Cruelty” at the New York City Bar Association on Wednesday, May 10. Sponsored by the bar’s Committee on Legal Issues Pertaining to Animals, the panel will be moderated by the ASPCA’s Debora M. Bresch, Eastern Region Legislative Liaison; panel members include Cynthia Bathurst, founder of Chicago’s Dog Advisory Working Group, Bronx County assistant district attorney Jennifer Negron, and Stacy Wolf, Senior Director, ASPCA Legislative Services & Anti-Cruelty Training.
